The View from Here: Analysis

Published in News on 3 Apr 2015

Iriss wants to better understand practitioners' experiences of delivering care and support in Scotland and part of The View from Here project will be to undertake a survey in partnership with the Guardian to reach a broad audience across Scotland. This survey will be available later in April.

To get more qualitative data, we put a call out to practitioners, asking them to participate in an exercise to record their day-to-day experiences of supporting people, and to get their views on this. We had a great response. A 'cultural proble' or diary method, as well as creative methods were used to gather information. Practitioners completed their diary and other tasks over one week and then sent it back to us for analysis. We were really delighted with the wealth of data received.

On 11th March we held a sense-making event where practitioners who were involved in the project were invited to come along to help us make sense of the data. A quarter of those who completed diaries attended the event.

Read our and practitioner reflections on the sense-making event and where it's all going next.
